IFL INTERNATIONAL ASSEMBLY-LILONGWE MALAWI 2024
What a memorable and fantastic International Assembly!
It was inspiring to meet the enthusiastic members of the Timanyane Group-Malawi and the delegates and members from all the 11 IFL groups that were able to attend. Some members were also able to join the Assembly via zoom.
During the holiday week, members from IFL Seychelles group together with other delegates from different groups visited Zoe Foundation(Orphanage)in area 25-Lilongwe, Malawi. The Orphanage accommodate about 110 orphans, and it has a nursery school within the foundation. The founder of Orphanage is a lady, she started with few children but now she have many due to high rate of orphans within the city.
They donated clothes, food and other assorted items. IFL members were convinced on how a single lady manages the Orphanage and in her remarks the Chairperson of IFL Seychelles group promised that they will continue to help the lady with what they can as a group.
Lastly the founder of the Orphanage express her gratitude by thanking the IFL team for the visit and donations.
IFL members also explored the warm heart of Africa by visiting Lake Malawi, the fourth largest freshwater in the world and with many fish species. It was a nice trip, everyone enjoyed it.
IA2024-Malawi ended with a dinner, it was fantastic to see members from different groups coming together on one table, chatting and making new friendship with others.
Next year’s International Assembly will be held in UK . Keep on following us to know more about the IA2025-United Kingdom .
